deister electronic GmbH, Barsinghausen, Peter Feldmann, Key Account Manager Ident & Automation:
deister electronic presents RFID textile label at the IMB Forum 2007
The RFID company deister electronic will once again be participating as an exhibitor in the IMB Forum 2007 (21st–22nd November in Cologne). “The IMB Forum offers a perfect interface between the textile business and ourselves as suppliers of technology,” says Peter Feldmann, Key Account Manager in the corporate area Ident & Automation. deister electronic is presenting the further development of the RFID label “textag”. The non-contact identification of articles of clothing by means of sewn-on or sewn-in transponders has long been possible. deister electronic, however, integrates the technology in a label with genuine textile character and textile properties. The RFID chip used here is just seven millimetres in size, and is connected with its antenna by means of a special felt. The antenna is woven or embroidered into the textile.
deister electronic offers three distinct versions of textag: The “textag brand” serves primarily as a means of brand protection. The transponder is integrated directly in the manufacturer’s brand label. The “textag industry” is also produced in the form of a label. It is, however, considerably more robust and is thus used for technical textiles which are exposed to higher stresses in everyday use. The “textag rental” is primarily used for rental clothing, hospital laundry and so on. It is designed to be especially tough, and is glued onto the substrate material. This enables it to stand up to extreme stresses such as steam cleaning, hot drying and pressing.
You can find deister electronic GmbH at the IMB Forum in the Boulevard aisle on Stand B 075.
